Terry’s Chelsea Quit Notice Shocks Hiddink

John Terry

Chelsea interim boss, Guus Hiddink is still shocked John Terry announced his departure from the club in the summer.

The 35 year old dropped the bombshell after the Blues set up a fourth round Emirates FA Cup clash against Manchester City with a 5-1 drubbing of MK Dons last Sunday.

Hiddink who is still optimistic another dialogue could sway Terry's future at the club , the former England international will be a professional till his final day at the club.

"It was a bit surprising, but he’s entirely up to him to do so.

"There was no specific decision made yet. It’s still early. Dialogue is always possible.
John’s statistics and the views I have in him is very fit. He’s not what you see in a 35-year-old player.
He is performing and I am convinced he will do regardless of the situation. He will be professional.”

Hiddink also revealed that new signing Alexandre Pato is unlikely to feature against Watford despite been involved with the squad in training in the past few days.

While ruling out Ramadel Falcao from the fixture, the Dutchman however promised to welcome Loic Remy back to the fold once he's fit.

The Blues striker saw a deadline-day move to Leicester go down the pan.

“I don’t know if he’s up to the game. He’s in preparation and not fully fit.

“The paperwork is done and he’s available. It’s another thing physically and mentally. We have to prepare him well. Falcao is also out."

“Remy has an injury to his calf and will not be available.”

Hiddink also gave his thoughts on the appointment of Pep Guardiola as the new Manchester City boss for next season.

"It was not big news, everyone expected this. He will face another league that he is not used to, but you have always this domination by teams where he has worked and no one can achieved what he did."

"But this is different as there is no specific favourite like Barcelona or Bayern, it is different in England but more attractive for him.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea will make a late check on Willian before tomorrow’s trip to Vicarage Road.

The Brazilian missed training yesterday with a foot problem but will be given a once over this evening.
