The rising surge of Lagos traffic robbery  has become worrisome, road users are becoming scared to even ply the roads. So many motorists have been victims of this robbers who so boldly attack people on the road. These things are getting out of hand and is definitely a source of concern for we the residents, as some of these hoodlums get away with these things.
In order words here’s how you can personally keep yourself safe.

Don’t Move Around At Late Hours
Lagosians like moving around late, forgetting that the key way to protect yourself is to avoid late nights as much as possible. In cases where you have to move out late make sure you move around with friends.

Avoid Police Identified High Crimes Location
The Lagos state police has identified high risk areas to avoid at night. If you have to pass through those areas make sure you do it before 9pm at night and anything after that, try to use an alternate route because these hoodlums are on the rampage.

According to The Guardian news, these areas have been listed as top areas where this hoodlums operate: Murtala Muhammed Airport Road, Costain, Third Mainland Bridge, Gbagada- Oworonshoki- Ketu routes, MileTwo- Badagry Expressway, Ojota, Berger and Long Bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Always Have Pepper Sprays
Having a weapon to be able to use to fight back is very key. Pepper sprays are very handy and can always be in your bags. Where you sense any suspicious activity make sure they’re right where you want it which is your hands. They can be found everywhere these days, just grab one and you’re good to go.

Although there are phone numbers across all 36 states that people can call but this help lines can be used anywhere in Nigeria in cases of robbery

There’s is no factual reason for the increase in these robberies in Lagos. And as worrisome as it seems to be living in fear, of which some people would rather not go out. Instead of staying in those fears, these tips will help you protect yourself better and equally keep you safe.
