NET TV Exclusive: How Killertunes Became Nigeria’s Most Prolific Producer In Just Three Years



It is impossible to celebrate the best of Nigerian music in 2018 without recognizing the musical genius and production skill of a talented young producer named Killertunes.

The 24-year-old who started his career from Upper-Sakponba, an outskirt settlement in Benin-City, made the decision to move to Lagos, the centre point of the Nigerian music industry in 2015 and within the space of 3 years has become one of the most prominent music producers in Africa.

Killertunes helmed the technical responsibility of some of the 2018’s biggest hits, including ‘Fake Love’ By Wizkid, ‘Baba’ by DJ Spinall ft Kizz Daniel, Olamide’s ‘Moti Gbona’.

NET sat with the producer whose real name is Otaniyen-uwa Daniel who shared his story on how he started producing as a teenager in secondary school to when he scored his first big record with Timaya.
