Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is plotting an audacious move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge next summer.

According to reports from Spanish newspaper AS, the Chelsea owner wants to sign the Real Madrid superstar, with or without Mourinho operating at the club.

They key figure behind this move is of course Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes. In recent years, Mendes has been instrumental in bringing players like Falcao, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis to Chelsea, and naturally he will be needed again to complete the biggest blockbuster transfer in Chelsea’s history.

The Blue are ready to dish out in excess of €100m for Ronaldo, who is also a reported target of Manchester United and PSG.

The report claims Chelsea are planning to raise funds to around €200m through player sales, with the likes of Matic, Oscar and Hazard could be sold.

Ronaldo, who is under contract with Madrid till 2018, wishes to retire at Madrid but at the same time he has refused to rule out a move away from the club.
