You know the saying ‘there’s a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow’? This unidentified man did not even have to trek to the end of the rainbow to find his own bucket of gold.
In a CCTV recording by the New York Police Department, the man who was walking by a bullion van, noticed the security guards accompanying it were distracted and took off with a 20-litre bucket of gold flakes valued at $1.6m.
Police say the man is in his 50s and has not been found.
The man appears to struggle with the weight of the bucket before getting into a white van as seen in the clip above.
You certainly couldn’t make this up!
