Mourinho's world record transfer next week; Man Utd to pay huge fee, personal terms agreed - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Manchester United are closing in on a transfer for Paul Pogba.
According to AS, the Old Trafford outfit have now agreed personal terms with the Juventus midfielder and will table a bid of 120 million Euros next week.
The player is a target for Real Madrid as well, but Los Blancos are not prepared to match United’s offer for the player. It is understood that the player prefers a move to Real Madrid as well and will only consider joining Mourinho’s side if he has no other option.
Reputed Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed in his report for AS that Pogba has an agreement with United which will see him earn 13.5 million Euros per season. Manchester United have also agreed to pay Juventus’ asking price and the English side will also pay his agent Mino Raiola a commission of 25 million Euros.
The report also adds that Ed Woodward hopes to seal the deal next week and has arranged a meeting with Juventus.
It seems unlikely that Real Madrid will come in for the player now. United’s offer for the player is quite ridiculous especially because they let the player leave for free only a few seasons ago. But there is no doubt that they are getting themselves a world class player in a position where they need reinforcements.
