Manchester United's €50m long term target wants Chelsea move, player's agent working on the deal - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Serie A club Lazio are in a total mess at the moment. They thought the club were moving in the right direction when they appointed Marcelo Bielsa, but withing 72 hours, the Argentine resigned from his post, before even turning up for pre-season training.
Lazio could face more problems in the coming days as star player Brazilian forward Felipe Anderson now wants to leave the club to join Premier League giants Chelsea.
Anderson has been a long term reported target of Manchester United. He was linked with a move to Old Trafford on more than one occasion and last year Lazio even had turned down a €50m offer for the attacking midfielder.
Having failed to secure a transfer move in the past two seasons, despite being in demand from top European clubs, Anderson has recently changed his agent to Giuliano Bertolucci.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, (h/t Football Italia) Felipe Anderson’s agents are working for the Lazio forward to join Chelsea.
The report claims his agent(s) (or the group since his agent is affiliated with Kia Joorabchian) is working hard to take him to Premier League and his preferred destination is Chelsea.
Anderson is under contract with Lazio until June 2020 but chances are high the Serie A club could cash in on him. The club’s unsettled and tense environment could be another reason why Anderson would be keen to leave Italy.
Over the years, Lazio have proved to be a tough negotiator and despite the fact Anderson didn’t enjoy a spectacular 2015/16 campaign, Chelsea would still need to pay around €30m for his signature.
