A late evening fire has engulfed the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) market inside the Police barrack behind Lagos state police command at GRA Ikeja.
Property worth millions of naira is estimated to have been lost to the inferno, while the spokesman for the Nigeria Police, Lagos State command, Mr Dolapo Badmus, a Superintendent of Police, told Daily Sun that no life was lost and that the force has deployed a detachment of policemen to safeguard the area.
