SPORTS’ Minister, Solomon Dalung is confident the Super Eagles will make a good start to their CHAN 2016 campaign when they face Niger Republic today and go all the way in the tournament.

Dalung, who spoke exclusively to Daily Sunsports at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport just before boarding his flight to Kigali, where he is to cheer the Eagles in today’s Group C opener said, given the way the team prepared for the championship, he saw them doing the country proud.

“The Eagles are well prepared and we are going to give them all the support they need to win the cup. But please tell Nigerians to back the boys with their prayers. In a tournament like this you need all the prayers and good luck to win your games. We have been winning since last year and that success story will continue in Rwanda,” Dalung said.

NFF President, Pinnick Amaju and his two vice presidents, Shehu Dikko and Seyi Akinwumi were on the minister’s entourage. Pinnick told Daily Sunsports that he was happy the minister would be addressing the players before their first game, pointing out that it would be a big morale boaster.

“The minister has not waited for the team to probably reach the final before seeing the boys. His presence in their first game will fire up the team,” Pinnick said.
