SPORTS minister, Solomon Dalung and President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick, will lead the party of Nigerian officials that would storm Kigali today to cheer the Super Eagles as Nigeria opens her CHAN 2016 campaign against neighbors, Niger Republic tomorrow.
Sunday Sunsports gathered that the Nigerian soccer buffs will depart Lagos this afternoon and would on arrival address the players ahead of their first match in Group C.
The Eagles arrived Kigali on Friday from South Africa where they had their pre tournament camping for two weeks.
Meanwhile, host Rwanda made a good start to the tournament yesterday with a 1-0 victory over Cote D’Ivoire in the very first match of the soccer showpiece.
The only goal of the tournament opener came in the 15th minute courtesy of Emery Bayisenge’s effort.
In the second match of the day, Gabon and Morocco labored to a goalless draw.
