Ibrahim Chatta is a versatile actor but his roles as an old man/herbalist stand out. Despite being in his forties, he has played these roles many times.
He began acting at the age of 15 as a part of Funmilayo Ranko’s Yoruba Travelling Theatre. And to be able to play the role of a herbalist, he started learning incantations.
Ibrahim has appeared in movies like “Aiyekooto” (his breakout film), “Esuru”, “October 1”, “Orule” etc. He has directed and produced feature films such as “Olokiki Oru”, “Mafin Wonmi”, and “Atini O’go”.
He is also a musician and has produced soundtracks for over 100 films and released three hip-hop songs.
Ibrahim Chatta has dreams of premiering his films internationally across different countries. So it is clear that the actor is not planning on slowing down soon.
