Onewildcard has emerged as a major contender for this year’s Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival [LAIF] awards according to the shortlist released 10th December, 2019. Included in the submissions of Onewildcard that are on the shortlist are World Refugee Day print ad, Let Me Show You The Leadway campaign for Leadway Pensure and the Platinum Resume campaign which went viral on Twitter earlier in the year.

The agency, known for its left-field approach to creative branding solutions for its clients, was founded just two years ago by Kayode Olowu, its Creative Director. Onewildcard is recognized internationally for its works and projects among which are Election Padi (Agent E), the election chatbot, The Platinum Resume, World Refugee Day ad, and many others.

According to Funke, Onewildcard’s Brand Manager, the nomination is an inspiration for the team to do better and keep striving for the best.

The company has been on a steady rise since its inception back in 2017, through executing unconventional ideas and solving marketing communication problems with pragmatic communication strategies. This approach plays a major role in positioning the agency as one of the fastest-growing creative outfits in Nigeria.

During the celebration of its second year anniversary on 6 September earlier this year, the agency displayed an impressive array of its achievements including over 500% growth since it was founded. Also, in May this year, the agency moved to its new office located in Opebi, Lagos. For a first-time contender in LAIF awards, Onewildcard’s emergence with this amount of works on the shortlist is a continuation of its winning streak since inception.

The winners of the awards will be announced at the LAIF awards festival set to hold on 14 of December 2019 at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos. The theme of this year’s edition is “Tori Tori of Laif”.
