Last week, American television station Lifetime aired a six-part documentary series on R&B singer R Kelly’s alleged sexual abuse and sex cult. The series interviewed 50 different people, including his ex-wife and several other women who claim to have been molested and manipulated by the 51-year-old musician over the last two decades. Many of them shared how they were victims of his depraved sex ring.
While the series producer dream hampton revealed that a number of other entertainers like Jay Z, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, and Dave Chapelle– all of who declined to be part of the series. Only John Legend did.
That has not stopped other entertainers from pitching into the conversations on social media. Jad Pinkett-Smith, NEYO, Kerry Washington are some of the people who have spoken openly about the series and the embattled R Kelly.
