The album itself may just be a few hours old but some section of Nigerians are not having Falz‘s stance on “transactional sex” as he stated at the listening party for “Moral Instruction”.
As the name implies, Falz’s new album touches on many social issues including prostitution. However, it’s his response to a question asked by a member of the audience that has generated the strongest reactions, especially on Twitter. When asked if his music doesn’t contribute to slut-shaming, he simply replied: “I detest transactional sex.”
Here are some of the reactions to that statement of his.
Falz misogyny is very casual, it’s the type you hear and when you react, people say you’re being extra and over reacting but you know you’re not. It’s the type of casual misogyny that gaslights you, it’s passive aggressive. I am glad people are seeing him for what he is

How Falz just equated sex work to sexual objectification of women is beyond me. So if I offer sex for money, this gives people the license to view me as a commodity? You can’t translate this to common sense.

Falz says he hates transactional sex, but isn’t ‘Something Light’ about a girl that didn’t want to sleep with him even though he took her out and bought food for her? Isn’t that transactional??

Lol what’s annoying is that Falz didn’t drag MEN that pay for sex. The clients of runs girls/sex workers.
Why is his energy always one sided? Will there be supply without demand? If you want to drag, dragg both if not I call bullshit.

Falz is definitely a misogynist. He’s one of those average looking, mostly unattractive guys who fancy themselves “intelligent.” Guys like him hate beautiful women especially the ones that are inaccessible. It’s something he clearly learned before fame and has refused to unlearn.

And y’all KNOW that Falz isn’t talking about roadside prostitution. He’s talking about chicks that drive nice cars and take great vacations. Pure undiluted jealousy and envy. How many of his “sweet boys” has he yabbed? Should we help him name them??
Trash!!!— Ada Akunne (@SheisBoki) January 15, 2019
Runs boys are plenty, never seen anybody caring about their welfare enough to make songs for them. When last did Falz tell his sweet boys to stop bending over for iPhone X’s? The only thing you people care about is policing women. Kpom kwem.

Men: Women too rape men.
Women: How common is that? Focus on the prevalent one, which is men raping women
Falz: I focus on runs girls, because that’s more common than aristo guys.
Women: Why are you attacking women and leaving the men? Attack them equally
I don’t get it. pic.twitter.com/Tbg6upWc1Z— Dr. Orji VI (@ronaldorox4life) January 15, 2019
falz needs to shutup
— FARO (@farodaystar) January 15, 2019
Falz is obsessed with runs girls. It’s a fact.
If he wants to drag transactional sex in his songs, he should condemn ALL the parties involved. Also, he can’t have lyrics like “baby let me be your customer…”
Let’s be logical, please.

I can’t take Falz seriously lmao. Typical cishet male that only knows social justice when it concerns issues that affect him, but will gladly participate in women’s oppression. Trash
— our lady of perpetual sorrow (@trusssssmidaddy) January 14, 2019
Falz is your typical Nigerian man, they aspire to have enough money to be sugar daddies but in the meantime, let’s insult the ones we can’t afford now. It’s pathetic
— Ada Akunne (@SheisBoki) January 14, 2019
Nobody is “fighting” Falz. His smelling “opinion” is being critiqued.
