A fan had asked why musicians were leaving his record label to which replied: ‘Why do u graduate from secondary/university? People grow bro.’

This may not be unconnected with the recent excite of pop star Reekado Banks who left the label in December 2018 to form his own ‘BANKS MUSIC’ imprint.

Many music commentators are of the opinion that Mavin records, founded in May 2012, has not matched up with the defunct MoHits Records  which was led by Don Jazzy and former partner D’banj, despite the array of talented stars signed to it including Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Dr Sid, Dija, and more recently, Johnny Drille, and the DNA twins.

Another fan even blatantly told the Mavin boss that his label was dead, adding that even the ‘Leaners and Upcoming’ were leaving.

But Don Dorobucci as he is fondly called disagrees that his label is dead. He, however, admitted that this period isn’t the best times for them before asking for prayers from the fan.:

Receiving all the feedback from several disgruntled fans, Don Jazzy said he has taken notes and the label was working on all the suggestions of their true fans.
