Four Years After Ebola: Nigerians Remember Doctor Stella Adadevoh Who Sacrificed Her Life For Her Country

In August 2014, it was confirmed that the dreaded Ebola virus was in Lagos and a medical doctor had contracted the virus.

Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh was credited with curbing the spread of the virus by detaining an Ebola patient named Frank Sawyerr who came into the country from Liberia.

Adadevoh also tested positive for the virus and died August 19, 2014, which incidentally coincides with World Humanitarian Day at the age of 57.

It has been four years since the incident but Nigerians have not forgotten her heroic act and they trooped to Twitter to pay their respects.
