There have been recent conflicting sentiments on social media on speculations if Black English actor, Idris Elba would play the lead character in the next James Bond movie.
After a recent statement made by media personality, Katie Olivia Hopkins stating he can’t be the next James bond due to his skin colour, The 45-year-old actor put the rumours of him playing the role to sleep in an interview with Good Morning Britain at the premiere of his new movie “Yardie“ in London.
When the actor was asked “Do you like it shaken or stirred?” the star made viewers laugh when he replied: “Stir-fried, actually.” As he tried to walk away, the interviewer quickly threw the question “Are we talking to the next James Bond?” “No,” Elba replied.
This comes after the official James Bond Twitter account announced that Danny Boyle has resigned as the director saying “Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.”
