Cardi B’s former manager, Shaft who was in the news recently for slamming her with a court case for $10 million has replied her countersuit saying it is full of ‘outright lies and distortions’ and that it’s part of a ‘campaign against him.’
Shaft was the first to sue Cardi B saying he built her career but she bailed on him now that she has made it.
But last week Thursday Cardi fought back, filling her own suit in which she claimed he gained her trust, cut her off from other friends and advisers and then signed her on to contracts that were described in the suit as one-sided and in his favour.
In a new report on PageSix.com, a Shaft rep dismissed suit by Cardi B, saying ‘The facts are simple, Cardi B’s music, image and rise to superstardom were all developed and executed by Shaft and his team of writers and producers,’ adding that ‘The outright lies and distortions in her claims make you shake your head.’
The representative also claimed Cardi’s countersuit is part of a ‘campaign by her and her team to defame and injure Shaft, the one person who saw promise in her, invested time and resources in her and succeeded in making her rich and famous.’
Cardi B is currently expecting a child with her rapper boyfriend, Offset.
