A popular police officer on Twitter, Abayomi Shogunle couldn’t hide his disgust at the effrontery of another Twitter user who was born twenty five years ago who dared to address him as ‘Dear Yomi’.
He particularly took umbrage at the person’s date of birth, stating that he was already a policeman before the individual was born.
Shogunle is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, who is also in charge of the Complaints Response Unit (CRU), at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Some other users have pointed that ‘Dear’ is not necessarily a derogatory term, while another segment think ‘children of nowadays are just rude’.
Really? In an official memo? He should have addressed him as Uncle Yomi or boda Yomi?
