Following the success of Colonia, Spooks and Son of Gun, Red Mist Films is set to release an all-new scandalous love story, Lady Macbeth.
The film, which promises to be an exhilarating viewing pleasure, will come to Nigerian cinemas this August and stars award-winning actress, Florence Pugh.
Set in the U.K, Lady Macbeth tells the story of Katherine (Pugh), a woman stifled by her loveless marriage to a bitter man twice her age, and his cold, unforgiving family.
When she embarks on a passionate affair with a young worker on her husband’s estate, a force is unleashed inside her so powerful that she will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
The film has been universally acclaimed since it debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and there is a buzz of a Best Actress Oscar nomination for Florence Pugh.
Directed by William Oldroyd and written by Alice Birch, the 89-minute movie is an edge of your seat thriller that also stars actor and singer, Cosmo Jarvis, Paul Hilton, and Naomi Ackie, among others.
Lady Macbeth is the very first feature film of Oldroyd, who is also popular for his short films like Christ Dog and Best.
