Barcelona Transfer News: Club director in touch with player's father to discuss move for world class star - originally posted on Sportslens.com

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is being linked with a move away from Camp Nou once again.

This time, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be interested in his services and are looking to convince the player’s father about a future transfer.

Apparently, Lionel Messi has already informed Barcelona that he will not renew his current contract which ends in 2018 and therefore PSG have already started formulating plans of signing him.

Club director Patrick Kluivert has already initiated contact with Messi’s father regarding a transfer and he plans to intensify these talks in the coming weeks. The former Barcelona player wants to make sure that Messi’s mind is made up about moving to PSG as soon as possible.

If the report is true, then it is certainly understandable why PSG are desperate to convince the player and his father as soon as possible. The opportunity to sign the best footballer ever is too good to turn down.

Although, there have been no confirmations that Messi is unwilling to renew his deal with Barcelona. It could well be a rumour or a ploy to get more money from the club. Messi has been at the club since his childhood and there is no reason why he would want to leave now. Barcelona are the best club in the world and moving anywhere else would be a step-down.

Whatever the case, even when there is a slight chance of signing someone like Messi, you have to make a move and PSG are doing just that.
