Patoranking has won Song of the Year at the 2016 MAMAs for ‘My Woman’, which he featured Wande Coal.
‘My Woman’ got the award ahead of ‘Shaktibobo’ by Olamide, Korede Bello‘s ‘Godwin’, ‘Roll Up Re-Up’ by Emtee, ‘Soweto Baby’ by DJ Maphorisa; which already won the Best Collaboration out of Africa nod, ‘Reggae Blues’ by Harrysong, and ‘Baddest’ South African rapper AKA.
The Dancehall music star won Best New Act at last year’s edition.
Meanwhile, Tekno has taken over from him as Best Breakthrough Act. The ‘Pana’ hitmaker won the award ahead of Falz, Simi, Franko, Babes Wodumo, Emtee and Nasty C.
