Manchester United are reportedly looking to sell Italian Full-back Matteo Darmian this summer. Serie A giants Roma are plotting to bring him back to Italy.

According to reports from Calciomercato, Jose Mourinho is willing to part ways with the Italian defender, who was dropped against Bournemouth.

United signed Darmian last season for a reported fee of €20m but it seems he is not in the first team plans of Mourinho.

Darmian signed a four-year contract with United upon joining with an option to extend it for a further year. He was brilliant on his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur with former manager Louis van Gaal citing his performance as the best of the match.

In his 27th appearance for the Red Devils, he scored his first Premier League goal with a powerful volley from the edge of the box against Crystal Palace.

The former Chelsea manager has used Antonio Valencia in the right-back role against Bournemouth and the Ecuadorian appears to be his first choice fullback this season.

The report doesn’t give an indication whether United want to send Darmian on loan or sell him permanently. Serie A giants Napoli are also interested in securing his services.
