Bayern Munich criticize Manchester United over current situation of German midfielder maestro - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has criticized Manchester United over their treatment of German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The 32-year-old has been reportedly banished to Man Utd reserve team’s dressing room after declaring him surplus to requirements by new manager Jose Mourinho.
Bastian’s brother Tobi Schweinsteiger tweeted ‘no respect’ last week to hit out at Man Utd and now the midfielder’s former club Bayern Munich have slammed the Red Devils by claiming that Schweinsteiger’s current situation could persuade players against joining the Premier League giants.

Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “I could hardly believe it. One or two players are going to think long and hard in future about whether they want to go to such a club.”
“Nothing like that has ever happened at Bayern Munich.”
Schweinsteiger has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, after the German International failed to make his mark in his first campaign in the Premier League.
The 2014 World Cup winner made just 13 league appearances last season, while he spent several weeks out on the sidelines to recover from his long-sustained knee injury.
But despite having concerns over his injury problems, Schweinsteiger has reportedly attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas, although Bayern Munich declared last week that the club would consider re-signing their former midfielder maestro if he eventually leaves Man Utd.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the verge of signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba for a record-breaking transfer fee, which is poised to end Schweinsteiger’s Man Utd career this summer.
