Klopp beaten; Barcelona agree fee and personal terms for PSG star, announcement this week - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne is set to join the Spanish champions Barcelona.
According to reports in France, the talented left back will sign for the Catalan giants tomorrow.
Apparently Luis Enrique’s side have agreed a 20 million Euros fee with the French outfit for Digne and personal terms have been agreed as well.
The 22 year old left back will sign a five year contract with the La Liga outfit and should be presented officially later this week.
Earlier this week, L’Equipe reported that Barcelona have been in touch with the player’s representatives. Premier League outfit Liverpool were also eyeing up a move for the player, but it seems that the French defender has opted for Camp Nou.
Digne signed for PSG back in 2013 for a fee of 15 million Euros, but the Frenchman never quite managed to establish himself as a starter under Laurent Blanc.
The player was then loaned out to Roma last season and the 22 year old impressed during his 29 appearances for the Italian giants.
Luis Enrique is looking to add some depth to his left back position and has identified Digne as the ideal backup for Alba.
