Man Utd's £40m transfer imminent, star currently 'best player of his age' - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the highly talented Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches.
The 18-year-old star has been a target for the Old Trafford outfit since last season and it seems that he might complete the move to Manchester soon.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting through their live blog that a deal is very close and that Manchester United will sign the prodigiously talented central midfielder in the summer.
The transfer fee mentioned is around 50 million euros. Although it is a steep price to pay for a player of his age, Manchester United will get themselves a future superstar if they manage to land the Benfica midfielder this summer.
Much like the Anthony Martial transfer, Sanches is good enough to justify the price in the long run.
Pep Guardiola recently claimed that Sanches is the best 18-year-old footballer on the planet right now and Manchester United fans will no doubt be excited with that recommendation.
Sanches can play as an attacking midfielder or a central midfielder. The Benfica star has attracted a lot of attention with his mature performances in the League as well as the Champions League this season.
