Manchester United have been linked with a move for the out of favour Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The England international might be sold this summer and it seems that the Old Trafford outfit are monitoring his situation. Earlier it was reported that Liverpool were eyeing a move for the talented midfielder.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is easily one of the most talented young players at Arsenal. But his injuries and lack of playing time has stalled his development. It is highly unlikely that Chamberlain will fulfill his potential at Emirates and in that case, it is best for the player and the club to move him on.

Manchester United are in need of pace and creativity from out wide and this was highlighted by Van Gaal at the start of the season as well. If the Arsenal winger can play regularly and fulfill his potential, he could be an outstanding signing for any Premier League club.

According to ESPN, signing a winger is a top priority for Manchester United this summer and the Premier League giants have asked the player’s camp to keep them informed about the player’s situation.

Meanwhile, in other news, Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the Valencia central midfielder Andre Gomes.

The highly talented Portuguese midfielder is closing in on a move to Italian champions Juventus according to reports in Italy.

Manchester United are in need of a creative player like him and the Old Trafford outfit were hoping to land him once Jose Mourinho takes over as their new manager.

Apparently, the player was promised to Jose Mourinho by his agent Jorge Mendes, who also happens to represent Gomes.

Andre Gomes will join Juventus for a fee of around 23 million pounds this summer as a replacement for Claudio Marchisio. The Italian has been suffering from injuries and has failed to replicate his old form this season.
