HKN lead act, Davido recently signed an international deal with Sony Music which currently makes him the most bankable act from this part of the world.
The ‘Skelewu’ singer’s camp has further shed more light into the details of the deal.
The deal, a multiple year contract, will see Davido release two albums to be distributed globally by Sony.
Davido however retains the right to his music and performances, while Sony will be publishing and distributing to the international market.
TheNETng further gathered that before signing the deal, Davido consulted with renowned entertainment lawyer, Joel Katz.
Joel Katz has in the past represented top global celebs like James Brown, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and brands like the Grammys while he is also responsible for Michael Jackson‘s estate.
Davido signs new deal with Sony Music.
The deal was made possible by Efe Ogbeni, an executive with Sony/ATV who is also going to be the Executive producer for Davido’s upcoming album.
