Chelsea agree £14.25m move, Abramovich informs players about new arrival - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Chelsea have finalised a deal with the Italian national team manager Antonio Conte.
The Italian will take charge of the Blues at the end of the season when his contract with the national team expires.
According to latest reports from Italy, Roman Abramovich has confirmed the move to his players at the Chelsea training ground in Cobham.
Chelsea have moved swiftly to secure the services of the Italian manager and he will replace Guus Hiddink as Mourinho’s long-term successor at Stamford Bridge next season.
Conte is expected to earn around £14.25m during his three-year contract with the Premier League giants.
Chelsea have had a disappointing season so far and will look to finish strongly under their interim boss Guus Hiddink.
The Blues are still in the Champions League and the FA Cup. Their improved form in the Premier League could also guide them to a top eight finish.
It is unlikely that Chelsea will be in the Champions League next season and Conte’s first real challenge will be to get the Blues back playing in Europe.
