From France: Huge offer made, Player could say 'yes' to move, Chelsea transfer on the cards - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
The French striker has struggled to get regular games at Chelsea, and he is reportedly considering making a move to China.
French website Le 10 Sport reported yesterday that Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua has offered a fee around €15m for the French striker. They are ready to offer him €7m-a-year wages on a four-year-deal, however, Remy is holding out for a wage package of around €9m per year.
The same media publication has covered an Exclusive article today, where they claim another Chinese club have joined the race and they have a better offer for Remy and Chelsea. This unnamed Chinese club, which Le 10 think is Hebei China Fortune, is ready to offer €20m to Chelsea for Remy.
For a player who has hardly featured this season for the Blues, Chelsea would not hesitate for a moment to agree to the proposal. In fact, they have given a green signal for the transfer to go through.
The report says that Chelsea haven’t closed the door on Shanghai Shenhua but obviously they will consider the financial side of the transfer too.
The decision now rests on Remy, who could say ‘yes’ to the move. He has no future at Chelsea, and should look to move elsewhere to get regular games. A move to any other European club would have been an ideal choice, but he should grab every opportunity that comes his way at this moment.
