At last, the confusion which has trailed the future of Nigerian junior international, Vicor Osimhen has been put to rest with German Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfburg confirming that the player has consented to have his future with the club.

VfL Wolfsburg posted the picture of Osimhen training with the club Thursday. Though, he has not yet signed the dotted lines, he will continue to train with the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria for a year before joining the club on 1st January 2017, as reported on the VfL Wolfsburg website earlier yesterday.

Last November Tottenham Hotspur was heavily linked with the signature of the young Nigerian striker. It was reported by Spanish publication AS that the deal was done and that Tottenham had secured the services of the player.

Osimhen was the star at the Chile 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup as his side won the competition. He scored a whopping 10 goals at the competition in just seven appearances – including against Mali in the final.

He also recently helped Nigeria to Under-23 African Nations Cup glory and had plenty of teams interested in his future.
