Player's agent in London to hold decisive talks with Chelsea, Argentine star could become second major signing in January - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Ezequiel Lavezzi has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain since last summer, and no one knows what future holds for him.
The 30-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder has managed only three league starts all season. Lavezzi is no longer seen as an integral part of the PSG squad, and the French champions are prepared to offload him.
He has been linked with almost all the major Premier League clubs over the past 12 months, and has also attracted interests from Serie A clubs like Juventus and Inter Milan.
Last week we reported that Lavezzi’s agent was in London to hold talks with Chelsea officials over a possible move. We don’t know the outcome of the meeting but it seems that Chelsea still retain an interest in the player.
According to reports from Italy, Lavezzi’s agent, Alejandro Mazzoni is expected to be in London, again, to discuss about a potential transfer for the Argentine. A meeting has been arranged on Friday, where Lavezzi’s future will be discussed.
In case Chelsea reach an agreement to sign the Argentine, he would become the second major signing in January after Alexandre Pato, who is all set to complete his move within the next few days.
