CHAN 2016: Nigerians “play on” in Rwanda

Despite the ouster of the Super Eagles for the African Nations Championships, key Nigerians in CAF are still in “action”.
Saturday Sunsports can reveal and exclusively too that six Nigerians will be in action on Saturday and Sunday as the quarter final matches are decided.
Nigerian seasoned CAF instructor, Paul Bassey will lead out Rwanda and Congo DR as the General Coordinator in the first quarter final showdown at the Amahoro stadium. The match kicks off 2pm Nigerian time.
Another Nigerian Aminu Maigari will serve as Match Commissioner for that match.
Three hours later, in Group B, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh will act as the Technical Study official as Cameroun plays Congo.
On Sunday in Group D, the match involving Zambia and Guinea will see Bolaji Ojooba and Aisha Falode performing as CAF security Officer and CAF Media Officer respectively.
Meanwhile, Amanze Uchegbulam Vice President of the Appeals Board is still holding court in Kigali.
In another development, half of the referees have been sent home. Bennett of South Africa, Joshua Bondo of Botswana, Hamada El Moussa of Madagascar and Bamlak Tessema of Ethiopia have been appointed to referee the matches in Group A, B, C and D respectively.
The final of the Championship is slated for February 7 in Amahoro Stadium.
