Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has hailed the home-based Super Eagles' showing in their 4-1 win against Niger at 2016 CHAN and urged them to reproduce same winning spirit in their next match against Tunisia.
A Chisom Chikatara hat-trick and a goal also from Osas Okoro, gave the Eagles the emphatic win.
Speaking with Completeportsnigeria.com, Ekpo said:
"I will say congratulation to the team. Winning the first game is very important. But they shouldn't let it get into their heads," Ekpo remarked during exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
Speaking ahead of their next game against Tunisia, Ekpo urged the players to replicate the performance they displayed against Niger.
"The approach towards the Tunisia game shouldn't be different from the game against Niger.
"They have seen the Tunisians and know what to expect. So they should play as a unit and be focus on what they want to get."
The Eagles top Group C on three points. Tunisia and Guinea are joint second with one point each.
