FORMER National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA), Chief Sam Nkire has condemned all political parties that collected what he described as “blood money” to endorse former president Jonathan during the 2015 presidential election.
Speaking on “Dasukigate,” Chief Nkire said those who collected money from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), knew full well they were collecting blood money meant for soldiers fighting in the war against Boko Haram.
According to Chief Nkire, who is now an All Progressives Congress (APC) Board of Trustees member, “no national chairman of any political party worth its salt should collect bribe to endorse the candidate of another political party, no matter how hungry.”
He also said as the national chairman of PPA, neither him nor his party asked for, let alone collected money from a presidential candidate of another political party.
He condemned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for not supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s war against corruption, adding that it was a strange irony that no member of the PDP seemed to either hate or condemn corruption.
The APC chieftain called on all Nigerians, including members of opposition parties, to support the war against corruption as, according to him, the bad effect on the economy spares no one.
