NFF Disciplinary Committee to recommend Keshi’s sack If found guilty

The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation will recommend to the Executive Committee that Stephen Keshi be fired if he is found guilty of applying for the vacant Ivory Coast coaching job. This much is coming from the Disciplinary Committee’s vice chairman, Iyke Igbokwe.
Speaking in a radio interview, Igbokwe said Keshi would have broken every element of trust between him and the NFF if found guilty and therefore, will recommend his sacking.
“If it is proven that he applied, then the element of trust is gone,” Igbokwe said, “You cannot apply for the Ivoirian job in the middle of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, so we will advise the NFF to sack him if he is found guilty,” said Igbokwe.
The self-acclaimed ‘torchlight of Nigerian football’ believes there would be no reason for Keshi to be retained if it is discovered he did apply for the Ivory Coast job, describing it as an ‘insult’ to Nigeria.
“If he applied, the NFF should relieve him of his job because it is an insult to Nigeria. If Keshi drops dead today, Nigerian football cannot drop dead with him,” Igbokwe said passionately.
Meanwhile, chairman of the committee, Christopher Green told News24 that they are still ‘investigating’ the Super Eagles coach.
